Case Notes
Six months after a SMAS temple lift, you're looking at the result for a woman in her early seventies. The SMAS technique works at the level of the superficial musculoaponeurotic system, the fibromuscular layer beneath the skin, rather than relying on skin tension alone. That approach allows the mid-face and temple tissue to be repositioned from a deeper structural plane. In the after photo, the jawline appears more defined and the mid-face shows visible lifting through the cheek area. Skin texture and fine lines across the lower face remain present, as expected at this age. Results vary from patient to patient. Dr. Alexander Digenis can walk you through whether this approach fits your anatomy and goals.
