There is no universally set age for receiving dermal fillers, but Dr. Digenis recommends patients be at least 18 years old. Results with dermal fillers are typically visible immediately after the treatment. However, it may take a few days for the filler to settle fully and for any swelling or bruising to subside, revealing the final results. In most cases, the full effect can be seen within 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the treatment area and the type of filler used.
Common side effects of dermal fillers include:
