Brow Lift in Louisville, Kentucky
A brow lift offers several rejuvenating benefits by lifting sagging eyebrows, which can restore a more youthful and refreshed appearance. It smooths out deep forehead lines and vertical frown-lines between the brows, reducing a tired, angry, or aged look. By elevating the brow position, it also enhances the eye area, making the eyes appear more open and alert without excess heaviness or drooping skin.
Who is a candidate for a Brow lift?
Candidates for a brow lift are typically individuals experiencing sagging eyebrows, deep forehead wrinkles, or frown lines that create a tired, angry, or aged appearance. Ideal patients are in good health, non-smokers, and have realistic expectations about the outcomes. It’s especially suitable for those in their 40s to 60s, though younger individuals with genetically low-set brows may also benefit.

What to Expect after a Brow Lift
The Steps of Recovery
Recovery after a brow lift is generally quicker and less extensive than a facelift, with most patients resuming normal activities within 7–10 days. While there may be swelling or bruising around the forehead and eyes, discomfort is usually mild and manageable. Unlike a facelift, which involves deeper tissues and a longer healing period, a brow lift focuses on the upper face, resulting in a more targeted and streamlined recovery.
Immediately After Surgery
You will spend 1 overnight stay at our Quad A Certified Surgery Center in a relaxed private room with a private nurse. You will have bandages around your head and neck during this stay and slightly elevated in bed. Pain medications will be prescribed to alleviate any discomfort. Swelling, bruising (especially around the eyes and forehead), mild discomfort, and tightness are common.
First Week After Surgery
Most swelling, bruising, and discomfort occur during this time. Patients are advised to rest, avoid strenuous activity, and follow post-operative care instructions provided by Dr. Digenis and his surgical team. The first set of sutures will be removed 7 days after the procedure
Next Few Weeks After Surgery
Most patients can resume normal activities, including light exercise, and swelling continues to diminish. You will have a faint line where the sutures were that will continue to diminish. Dr. Digenis advises keeping out of direct sunlight and wearing broad brimmed hats. You should keep any exercise to light activity until instructed otherwise.
